JIK Reveal Day

It's my turn today to post over at Just Imagine Kreaxions

and today I wanted to feature the beautiful

 Kreaxions Punch 612 Cross

MY CHRISTENING

This is a layout of me when I was a baby in my Christening Gown, I thought it was the perfect photo to use for this punch.

I used Kaisercraft's Sweet Nothings collection paired with some fussy cut roses, doilies, and hearts cut from an old novel.

 Details of the right side, I just love those fussy cut roses, I cut them from an older K&Co collection. I cut the heart from an old novel and used liquid pearls around the edges to enahce it a bit. The flowers are Prima of course!

 Check out the detail of this cute lil cherub found in the Kaisercraft ephemera pack, I just love him!

 Here is a close up of the Kreaxions Cross Punch #612, I love the delicate details around the edges. This punch is sure to add a special touch to any project

Lastly but not least this is the details from the left side, you may also notice the liquid pearls I used around the outside edges of the paper.

Friday Finds

So with this years weird weather pattern ( we have been having some crazy warm weather ) I guess we are just gonna skip winter completely?!?! Fine by me, because I love Spring and all it's beauty. It has a way of making everything feel fresh and new....begining's! The beautiful array of blooming flowers and their yummy fragrance have to be at the top of my list!!

 So in honor of our fast approaching Spring Time, I decided to inspire you with some beautiful Spring images for this week's Friday Finds!

I happen to love all the beautiful flowers and soft color palettes!! I could lye in the grass of one of these images and feel as if I am in Heaven!

I hope you loved the images I found, and are as inspired as I am! I am almost tempted to pack up some scrapping supplies and head outdoors with it for a while! How cool would that be to scrap im such splendor???

Scrap Your Crap

This is a little late, I have been swamped since I've returned from vacation and now trying to getready for another in 3 weeks!

But better late than never right, lol!!

Scrap Your Crap's challenge this month's challenge is to use washi or masking tape on one of your projects
(first time for me)

I was a little nervous about this chal;lenge, because I actually am not a huge fan of washi tape, so I pondered and pondered, wondering what in the world I was gonna do...then I had that AHH HAH moment!

I decided to place the tape on a plain white piece of cardstock so that I could punch the tape with a leaf punch!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the look it gave, and will probably be trying it again in the future!


SO VERY UNIQUE

This is a layout of my husband, I titled it So Very Unique, because that is totally him, lol. I don't know another person on this planet like him, lol. He is silly, funny, crazy, outgoing, and marches to the beat of his own drum and I love him more than anything!

I used My Minds Eye mixed with some Lilly Bee Design's and Webster's Pages paper for this page, which I scissor distressed to give it that vintage grungy look that I'm so fond of. I did some simple border stitching around the edges of the teal accent paper behind the photo to add a little character and dimension.

 This close up shows off my flower cluster along with one of my punches tape leaves, placed gently behind the vintage key that I painted white, inked and stamped to give it a whimsical vintage feeling. I then placed the beads around the cluster to give it more deminsion and texture. You may also notice the bicycle poking out from the top right side of the flower cluster, this is also a peice of the tape. The tape is Tim Holtz Idea-ology tissue tape by the way, very neat to work with! To add detail to my page, I used a peice of the paper that I trimmed from the edges to punch out some hearts, which I then used a white pen on the teal one to doodle a dotted border around the edge to help it stand out more prominately. I also did this around the inside edge of the doily above the photo with liquid pearls.

 This close up shows off the layered paper behind the photo, is which is stitched and distressed like I mentioned above!

 This is a close up of the left side of the photo, I wanted to show how I used the bottom part of the paper (the back side of the label that you usually cut off and throw away) as part of my page...it's the graph printed middle layer of the border. Above this is more Tim Holtz tissue tape.

Lastly but not least the tiny flower cluster I placed above the photo...I wanted to show a close up of some more of the punched tape leaves!

PRECIOUS MOMENTS

First OMGosh.....where in the heck has the time gone?!?! This is my youngest child almost 5 years ago!!!

So I kept it simple, there is so much you can choose to do with this challenge propt, but I absolutely adore butterflies! So I tucked one into my flower cluster. 

I used a combo of Colorbok and The Paper Loft paper's for this page, I scissor distressed both to give it that grungy look I love so much as I inked it all up real good with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink.

I have had many people ask what brand is that frame and where did you get it.

It's generic...I saw it laying out of it's place in Michaels, I scoured the store until I found it's rightful spot only to find this size empties out, but was able to purchase a bunch of small ones. No it's not chipboard it's actuall wood, light in weight of course.

 Here's a close up of the frame, it's so intricate and pretty! I am really bummed they didn't have more.

The title is also from Colorbok!

 I used acyrlic and crackle paint to get the old chipped look on the frame. Once it dried completely I took a make up sponge and used the Vintage Photo Distress INk in various spots of the frame as well.

This is the flower cluster to th left side, also featuring my beautiful butterfly! I also really love the little thread spool, here....it adds so much character and detail! The flowers are Prima and the butterfly is from K&Co.

More Prima flowers on the right side and the pearl over the bow is Melissa Frances!
