Getting Healthy Update / New Recipe I Wanna Try

As some of you may know I have been working very hard for a manth now to loose weight, with amazing success within the first two weeks. Unfortunatley I must report the progress has seemed to set itself at a slower pace which I had mentioned last week that I thought it would due to the 10 pounds I shed so quickly I knew it couldn't all be that easy and that I'd have to fight to loose the rest.

I wish it was more however I'll take any progress I can get I have loswt 1 pound since my post last week, now weighing me in at 144lbs. I must admit that the stresses of the kids returning to school and fighting to get back into routine as well as all the back to school events and sports that have bombarded our lives, I have had days were I ate more than my allowed 900 calories and snuck in a few cups of pop. But with that being said I didn't vere to far off course. I'm hoping for more success to report next week!

I have found that cutting out pop and candy and anything of the sort has been working well. I eat 900 calories per day split in 6 small meals at 150 calories per day and it works nicely. I am also using the eliptical machine when I sqeeze in a minute, but more than focusing on lots of exercise I try to keep myself busy during the day where there is little sitting time.

I'd love to hear about your own weight loose stories!

I wanna share this recipe I wanna try that I came across the other day

WEIGHT WATCHER'S TACO CASSEROLE

Ingredients:

1 lb ground skinless chicken breast
1/2 c onions, chopped
1/2 c bell peppers, chopped
1 clove garlic
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
8 ozs taco sauce
1 c fat-free sour cream
1 c fat-free cottage cheese
1 c low-fat tortilla chips, whole or broken up
1 c low-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
3/4 c salsa

Directions:

Heat oven to 400. Spray cooking spray on bottom of a 2-quart casserole dish; set aside. In a skillet, cook chicken, onion, peppers, and garlic clove until tender. Add seasoning mix and taco sauce; set aside. In a medium bowl, combine sour cream and cottage cheese; set aside. Place half the broken chips in the bottom of casserole dish. Add meat mixture to cover the chips, then cover the meat with sour cream mixture. Sprinkle with cheese and remaining crushed chips. Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until cheese has melted. Top with 3/4 cup salsa if desired.

Sketchabilities Reveal Day

Today is reveal day for Sketchabilities

I am loving being a part of this team along side some very talented ladies!

Without further adieu my take on this gorgeous sketch

Here is my take on this amazing sketch!

The background paper is Pink Paisley Butterfly Garden collection, which I absolutely ADORE!!!
I used just a random scrap for the gold paper behing the photo, I just used the corrigated crimper to give it the cardboard look! The photo is one of me and I tried to give it a different look by using the vignette option in my editing program....I'm still not sure I like it much.....

Believe it or not the flowers are once again fussy cut from fabric! The title is from K&Co and I just love the elegant look!

Hope you enjoyed!

This past week has been super busy for me, it was back to school week for all of my children and a bitter sweet one at that. I had to send my oldest off to jr. high and my baby to pre school. They are excited and happy about it which makes me happy, but at the same time my eyes tear up when I think of it, lol. I'm such a baby. But enough whining let me share their back to school pics with you!

Creative Soup's "Fun In The Sun" Summer Crop Blog Hop

Image

Welcome to Creative Soup's "Fun In The Sun" Crop and Blog Hop. We all decided to get together and have blog hop with a twist! Each member will have a part of a recipe to make a layout. Go around to each of the blogs in the hop, and you'll have all the instructions for a great challenge! Put at least 6 of the recipe elements on a layout/project, and link it back to the challenge thread HERE

My recipe element is <FUSSY CUTTING>. Take a look at Dana Tatar's layout, for a great example of this. This layout is from the If The Shoe Fit's Mojo Monday Challenge

Definition of Fussy Cut: To fussy cut is to target and cut a specific motif that’s printed on fabric (or paper)

Getting Healthy Update

So last week I posted about my new mission to loose weight.....I am happy to report that so far it's going to good! With that being said I'm affraid since it's going so smooth right off the top the rest of the weight will be extremely hard to loose. I feel now is the time to really buckle down, I've given my body a chance to adjust to my new lifestyle by easing in and not diving in head first full steam ahead, lol. Now it's time to get more extreme!

My results so far

July 30 - 155 lbs
August 7 - 148 lbs and 36" waist
August 11 - 148 lbs and 34.5" waist
August 14 - 145 lbs and 34" waist

So far all I have really had time to do is try to be more active during the day, walks when I have time and eating smaller portions and little to zero pop to drink. Since everything is going well so far I plan to try eating only 900cals per day and see where that gets me. I've also started a 10 challenge with Boresha BSkinny Coffee, I'm not sure I love it yet......it's somewhat exspensive and I definately recommend purchasing the sugar that goes with it...I skimped and just got the creamer thinking it would sweeten it enough....not so much. I'm thinking I may have wasted my money on this one.

I would love to hear about your weight loss stories!

My goal by next Wednesday is to weigh at least 144 and measure a 33" waist
WISH ME LUCK!!!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST I WANTED TO REMIND YOU ABOUT CREATIVE SOUP'S UPCOMING FUN IN THE SUN ONLINR CROP, AUG 20 - 27! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

Reveal Day SKETCHABILITIES / ScrapFIT / CREATIVE SOUP

 Sketchabilities Reveal

I am loving working with Karen and the amazingly talented DT members!

This weeks sketch is yet another that I had so much fun playing with! The sketch allows for multiple photo's which I've been digging this summer, it really has allowed me to get outta my scrap slump where my pages were all wanting to look the same, lol!

Check out the sketch:

Here's my take on this fabulous sketch:

The background paper is from an older My Minds Eye paper pad, which I have been trying to use up lately, lol. The color combo's seem to have trended in most of my layouts this summer! Check out my handsome DH...watta cutie!

I purchased the bling from Etsy

The love birds are from We Are Memory Keepers 'Be My Valentine Collection'

The sticker is from the same collection as the 'love birds' The flowers are fussy cut from a floral printed piece of fabric.

The layers of paper are just random from my scrap stash.

Be sure you stop by Sketchabilities to check out the other DT's examples!
Use the linky tools to upload your take of this fabulous sketch!!!

ScrapFIT Reveal

Working with Sara and the rest of the extremely talented FIT GIRLS is such a pleasure, I am just having so much fun!!!

This weeks workout is sure to get your creative juices flowing, I have to admit it was definitely
a challenge for me, it made me think outside of the box a little bit! View challenge details here!

Check out my take on this weeks challenge:

This is a photo of my oldest son, my how he's growing....this photo is from almost exactly a year ago! My take on this workout may be a little different from the other DT's, lol since we are not city people...AT ALL, lol it was obvious what I wanted to do with this workout challenge! The title "La Ville" meaning "The City" inspired my own title and the book title placement inspired the arrangement of my sub title.

The background paper in from Pink Paisley's Butterfly Garden collection.

The flowers are actually just silk flowers and I added a raw wood button to give em a lil bit of a country feel.

The Howdy sticker is from Carolee's Creations 'Old West' collection, the paper behind it is actually grunge board.

The layers of paper are just odds and ends from my scrap stash and the star border is from the same 'Old West' collection as the Howdy sticker above.

I'm afraid I do not remember the brand of the boot sticker sorry about that, but the round journal piece behind it is from the Bo Bunny 'Time Piece' collection.

Be sure and stop by ScrapFIT to check out the workout challenge and the samples from the rest of our
FIT GIRLS!
Don't forget to link up your layout with Mr Linky for your chance to win!

I had a blast, I mean an absolute blast creating my layout for this week's Mojo Monday Challenge!
Check out more details here!!!

Here is my take on this weeks challenge

This is a photo of my youngest daughter, I love the way this layout just pops off the page!

This is a close up of the sun and clouds I created uing my Create A Critter Cricut cartridge. I used my cats eye chalks to ink the edges a bit to help them pop! I fussy cut the bird from an older DCWV paper collection and used my white gel pen to draw the little trail behind it.

My thickers just seemed to pop off the page the contast with the white and bright colors and wood look all worked well together! The paper stripes came from various collections such as DCWV and Sassafrass Lass!

Here I used some Prima flowers with a brad in the centers, while sticking to the color palette that was trending on my page! The chevron came from a DCWV punch pack, you'll see I used my gel pen again for my journaling which reads: I LOVE THE FRESH LOOK YOUR SUN KISSED CHEEKS GIVE YOU AFTER PLAYING OUTSIDE 6-22-11.

I used a sketch from Pagemaps

I hope you all enjoyed my page's as much as I did making them, if so leave me a comment, I love hearing what you all have to say!
