FWAB/ CSI/ MCSB/ Frosted Design's

Hi everyone, wow it feels like a while since I've posted. I've been really busy with my kiddos and summer activities. So needless to say I haven't had alot of scrapping time. Which is fine, I have lots of new plans and ideas and will have plenty of time to try them out once the kids return to school in the next few weeks.

I was however lucky enough to have some scrappy time last Sunday and was able to create a few things that I wnat to share with you all today!

I created this layout for quite a few things and am pretty proud of how it turned out seems how before I made it my mojo had seemed to take a one way ticket outta my house!
Like I said I created this page for quite a few different things, 4 to be exact!

I am proud to introduce to you my very first project using Flourish With A Bling's BRAND NEW
For this layout I used 2 different set combined

FWAB Elise Flourish Silver - Dusky Pink & Rose Pink flowers

FWAB Elise Flourish Antique Brown - Mustard & Brown flowers

They are truely incredable! If you have not had a chance to get your hands on some, I highly suggest that you do so! They are simply amazing!

I created this layout for the beautiful sketch challenge going on at My Creative Sketches, I really love their sketches and try to play along whenever I get a chance! Pam and her girls never dissapoint with their challenges and beautiful DT samples!

CSI, always have fun little challenges each week and I NEVER have had a chance to play along although I always try to check things out whenever possible! I was fortunate enough to play this week, and was super excited about the color palette. However after I was done creating I realized I had forgotten to follow the directions completely and left out a few items.....oh well I still love the layout and will try again next time!

This weeks challenge over at Frosted Designs is to create a project using "FABRIC'
Check it out and play along for your chance to win a RAK from our sponsor
Channa

WOW LOL, that seemed like a whole blog post in and of itself and I haven't even gotten to the actual project yet, lol!!! Sorry for the long winded post, but I didn't want to leave anything or anyone out!
So if you like what you've seen above above keep reading, for the final results!!

Without Further Ado

Hello Sunshine
Before I continue I have to take a moment to blab just a wee bit more......this layout is of my oldest daughter when she was one years old.....I can hardly believe she is now 13 and off to eighth grade. My where has the time gone? Just 5 minutes ago I was putting barettes in those soft brown curls of hers and now I am helping her pick out high heels for school dances and make up that doesn't appear to dark or shocking. Five minutes ago, her tiny little fingers were entwined with mine while sitting on my lap listening to me read her a story or sing her a song, what happened to those days I long for so deeply. My heart aches when I think back to those days when she was my precious little baby, but it always helps to remind myself that no matter how much time passes she will always be my precious daughter! And that will never change!

Whew, lol sorry for the sappy moment, I just get so teary eyed and nostalgic when I look at my older photos, It makes me realize how precious and short life really is.  AND how old I'm getting lol!

I used My Minds Eye Miss Caroline Collection paired with some older Prima papers. As you can see I distressed the edges using my Ingvild Bolme Distress Tool!!

I think since this post is so long winded I will skip the details and just share all my close up's with you!

I hope you enjoyed! Please stop by again!

Flourish With A Bling New Elise Collection

Hi guys, I hope your all staying cool in this miserable heat! It's so hot and dry I'm hiding in the house today, I'm so over this heat, I've even had to get rid of my beautiful potted plants and my poor flower beds just don't seem to be thriving like usual! Hoping next year we get more rain, less heat and wind....I'm not usually one to want summer to hurry and be over already, in fact I'm almost sure I've never muttered those words all though my husband does on a constant basis, however after this particualr summer, I am so over it, bring on the snow.....I can't take much more of this heat!

I created a layout that I think portrays just hw serious I am about being done with this miserable heat for the time being.....I think one look at it will tell you where my mindset is!

ICE ICE BABY
See what I mean, my mind in set on something ICE COLD!!!!
This is a layout of my dear friends oldest daughter a few years back. She looks like a little snow angel in the photo and I couldn't resist using it for my winter inspired layout.

I used an older Kaisercraft Collection for this layout because I really liked it's wintry icy tones. I used my Ingvild Bolme Distress Tool to grunge up the edges a bit to give them that tattered wear and tear look I love so much.

But most importantly I want to share with you the BRAND NEW FLOURISH WITH A BLING ELISE COLLECTION I used on my page!

FWAB Elise Flourish Silver - Dusky Pink & Rose Pink flowers

FWAB Elise Flourish Black - Dark Green & Silver Grey flowers

FWAB Elise Flourish Black - Dark Green & Silver Grey flowers

They are incredable embellies to have in your stash, a real must have!
Check em out HERE

I have a few more close up's I wanna share, hope you enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by!

Today I want to give you a closer look and more details of the layout I created using the August ScrapThat! Sketch by Amarilys Doria using the August ScrapThat! Kit
"Once Upon On A Dream"

So the sketch was beautiful and very versatile and made my layout a real no brainer!

I love Amarilys's delicate shabby looking sketches and honestly it seemed to help me pull my layout below together rather simply!

This is a layout of my middle child, she is super terrific and I love her to bits! This super cute photo I took of her worked perfectly for these papers in my August ScrapThat! Kit!

The papers in the August Kit are from Kaisercraft's Charlottes Dream Collection and are just so beautiful! Before layering my papers I distressed them using my Invild Bolme Distress Tool and grunged everything up really nicely! I also added a bit of border stitching using some embroidery floss!

This is a close up of the lower right side, If you look closely you will see the cheesecloth tucked here and there in my flower cluster. The flourish is actually hand made and I purchased it on Etsy a long time ago! I gave everything a simple white washing using my white acrylic paint to achieve a toned down shabby look!

This is a close up of the left side of the photo and basically the same thing as above except I added an older Prima chipboard sticker....

This is the upper left side, where I made a few paint drips.....lol I love the puckered look it seems to have, I'm guessing it's due to the texture of the paper, which has some sort of resist on it. You may also notice I gave the paper a light swipe with a dry paint brush and acrylic paint as well as over the stitched border.

Thanks for stopping by, Iou enjoyed!

Today I'm going to share another one of my projects using
ScrapThat! August Kit

The color scheme of this kit is just so soft and delicate, It's really very pretty and great for all those shabby chic projects you'd like to create!

One of the layout's I created using this kit is extremely shabby chic, and probably one of my favorites from this month.

This is a layout of myself, I really liked the way the sepia photo's matched with these soft peachy tones.

The papers in this  month's kit are Kaisercraft's Charlottes Dream and just super yummy. I distressed them using my Ingvild Bolme Distress Tool, before I started layering.

This close up is of the left side, I wanted to share with you the faux bricks I created using a piece of cardboard I had lying around from the backside of a paper pad. I simply cut out rectangles free handed, no need to be perfect as real bricks never really are. I lightly inked them using my Vintage Photo TH Distress Ink Pad, before I dry brushed some white acrylic paint in them. I think next time I will include some gesso for texture. Anyhow, I just created an offset pattern to give them a look of reakl masonary work and it was really as simple as that!

This close up is of the center, I wanted to showcase the pretty punchwork I applied in the layers. You see that lattice design in the center? I created that using a Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch and trimming off the scallop design at the edge of the punchwork before lining them up to create one giant accent piece for my layout.

On the right side I added more flowers and faux bricks, I love the way the lace bow and bead strand top it off and seem to tie it ll together. If you look to the right of the photo you will also notice my tag with hiden journaling, which I need to complete before I share.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my page and are inspired to try the punch or brick technique on your own projects!!

Today I have a card from my
ScrapThat! August Kit
"Once Upon A Dream"

I loved the little sentiment sheet that came in the kit, I knew right away that I wanted to use one of the sentiments to create a card.

I created this card with my Mother In Law in mind, and as expected swhe loved it!
This card was super easy, lots of layering and distressing add a little acrylic paint and there you have it!
I used my ScrapThat! Main Kit as well as the Flower Add On and 1 sheet (the yellow paper) from my own stash of paper.

I was a little worried how the large Zva Flower would look in scale to the card, but it seemed to work very nicely! I think I will definately be purchasing more of these.

I don't have any close up's to share today as there really are not enough details.

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you back soon!
